Take a trip to the Golden Age of Hollywood! This award-winning restoration of the 1920s era theater now plays movie classics and foreign films, courtesy of American Cinematheque.
Tours of The Egyptian Theatre are conducted one weekend a month, showing how the theater was restored, and giving glimpses of what it was like during its first heyday, as a musical theater in the 1920s. Tour-only tickets are $5. Call 323.461.2020, ex 3 for current schedule.

getting there:
Take the Cahuenga Blvd. exit off the 101 Freeway South, and turn right on Hollywood Blvd. OR take the Hollywood Blvd. exit off the 101 Freeway North, and go left (west) on Hollywood. The Theatre is on Hollywood between Las Palmas Ave. and Cherokee Ave. Parking is available at Hollywood & Highland, $2 for up to 4 hours.
Some free street parking available after 6pm.
