If you've been to the
Met and want to continue the
Temple of Dendur "feel," the
Ancient Playground was designed for just that purpose. In reality, it's just an exceptionally good playground for kids of all ages, with all the obvious play stuff: lots of slides; a sand pit; tire swings; chain bridges; a
water sprinkler that runs on hot days, and enough sand to start a small beach when you go home and shake out your shoes.
There's a nice, quiet area for
smaller kids, with a toddler sandbox that holds a lovely concrete
turtle to climb on or sit under. There's also a fine set of gated baby swings.
