Encase yourself in a giant bubble, climb the musical stairs, and put your hand through a tornado at the Ann Arbor Hands-On Museum. Experience Sciencepalooza, a science street fair filled with hands-on activities, special guests, and demonstrations held the first weekend of every month (free with museum admission).
More than 250 interactive exhibits fall in the areas of health, physics, and math. A preschool playspace is designed for those up to age four.
Educational opportunities abound at this museum, including classes, workshops, summer camps, and special presentations - all in the name of science.
Infant changing stations are located in all bathrooms, and there is a family restroom in the lower level. Strollers are allowed in the museum, but they are not available for rent. Lockers, near the front lobby, are $.50.
Throw a birthday party at the museum for $250 ($150 for museum members) and have the run of the exhibits as well as a private party room and your choice of a hands-on activity. Available on the weekends only. Annual family membership is $75.
