about Aquarium of the Americas:

The winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the Best Indoor Party/Play Space for Big Kids in New Orleans, Aquarium of the Americas is a world-class aquarium that also offers IMAX movies. Visitors of all ages enjoy the scheduled animal feedings. Penguin, sea otter, and stingray feedings occur daily.

Adventure Island, the aquarium's action-packed interactive play zone, gives kids a great place to work off some excess energy, and pat a ray or two, while they're at it. To feed the stingrays (11:30am & 2:30pm), you must purchase a $2 stingray feeding token and bring it to the stingray pool during feeding time. Tokens may be purchased at the treasure chest gift shop in front of the Adventure Island exhibit.

Can't get enough of the animals? The John James Audubon Riverboat takes passengers from the aquarium straight to the Audubon Zoo. Call 800.365.BOAT for the boat schedule and rates.
