Argosy offers five different cruise possibilities, and touts them for both visitors and locals. All have live narration and great views - there's really no better way to see Seattle than from the water.
Easiest for fidgety kids or first-timers is the
one-hour Harbor Cruise, during which you'll learn about Seattle's history and facts of the area while viewing the colorful waterfront, spectacular city skyline, one of the world's largest shipping terminals, and the Cascade and Olympic mountain ranges. Snacks and beverages are available for purchase on board. The Harbor Cruise departs daily from Pier 55 on the Seattle Waterfront, rain or shine.
Seasonal and holiday cruises are also available. Most of these cater to the over-21 crowd, but Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's cruises do welcome families. Check our
calendar for listings.
The perennially popular
Christmas Ships feature a parade of lighted ships that visit area beaches during the holiday season. A different local choir or musical group sings aboard the lead ship every night. The music is broadcast to shore, and many communities provide a bonfire and treats to the crowds who come down to celebrate. A number of different ships with activities onboard are available, as are boxed dinners.
