Jimmy Neutron wannabes, have we got the place for you! The Arizona Science Center offers more than 300 hands-on exhibits that will fascinate preschoolers, grandparents, and everyone in between.

Whether exploring the intricacies of the human body in the All about You exhibit or playing with the forces of nature in Fab Lab, families have the rare opportunity to learn together while having fun.

The facility is located in the heart of downtown Phoenix and features more than 40,000 square feet of gallery space. Five themed galleries include permanent and featured special exhibits. The center's multiple levels are wheelchair and stroller accessible.

The Dorrance Planetarium offers a variety of state-of-the-art programs uncovering secrets of our solar system. Kids will love the digital special effects and interactive features.

The center's IMAX Theater presents a variety of science films on its five-story-high screen, taking visitors on amazing journeys into the depths of the ocean and the outermost limits of space.

Hungry explorers will find snacks, sandwiches, salads, and more at the CityBakery. No outside food is allowed in the center.

Awesome Atoms gift shop offers science kits, toys, spy gadgets, books, DVDs, apparel, and gift items.

Restrooms are available in the main lobby and at opposite ends of levels one and three. A private nursing room is located next to the restrooms.

The center hosts workshops, classes, and special events designed specifically for families, as well as homeschool groups. School and group tours are offered daily; call the center for more details.

A wide variety of day camps are offered throughout the year for teens and children ages 6-11. These weeklong events explore different topics through hands-on experimentation and activities. Check the website for current offerings.

The center specializes in birthday parties for children ages 5-10. Parties are hosted each weekend from 10am-12n or 1pm-3pm and feature private party rooms, themed science activities, party favors, admission to the center before or after the party, and parking validation. Parents can enjoy an adults' night out the first Friday of every month from 5:30pm-9:00pm. Admission is free and includes access to the exhibit galleries and a special lecture presentation.

Discounted parking is available at the Heritage and Science Park garage located on the southeast corner of Monroe and 5th streets. Take your parking ticket to the Information Desk for validation.
