about Arizona Wing Commemorative Air Force Museum:

The Arizona Wing of the Commemorative Air Force is a fascinating "flying museum" featuring a collection of World War II, Korea and Vietnam aircraft, memorabilia and artifacts.

The museum is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization. Knowledgeable docents are available to provide visiting families with incredible stories of the combat planes and the daily lives of the men and women who built, serviced, and flew them. Families should plan to take their time here and speak with several of the volunteers, as they all have different experiences and insights to share.

Two large hangars feature war birds on display and those in the process of painstaking restoration. The highlight of the museum is Sentimental Journey, considered to be the most authentically restored flying B-17 bomber in the world today. Guests can board and tour the gleaming World War II aircraft - a thrill for adults and children, alike. Simply watching these beautiful planes take off and land is an unforgettable experience.

Visitors can schedule a memorable flight aboard one of the museum's war birds, including a C-45 WW II transport, a T-6 SNJ WW II trainer, an O-2A recon/artillery spotter, or the museum's legendary B-17G Flying Fortress, Sentimental Journey. War bird rides range from around $74 to $425 per person; call the museum for complete pricing and details.

The museum also offers memorabilia displays from the "home front" to the "war front." Ration coupons, flight suits, and a 36-foot replica of the USS Arizona honor veterans from every military branch and bring their stories to life.

A small gift shop features a great variety of toys, apparel, and souvenir items.

The museum offers school and group tours; call for details.
