Armory Center for the Arts is a 20,000 square-foot space conceived to give the community opportunities to appreciate and create contemporary art. The Armory started as the education department of the Pasadena Art Museum, then moved into the National Guard Armory building in Old Pasadena.
It now presents exhibitions and performances of contemporary art, and provides a place for artists and educators to meet, learn, and refresh their skills.
Classes and summer camps are available for children of all ages, and encourage students to appreciate and understand contemporary art while they are creating it.
Memberships are $100/family, and include invitations to exhibit openings, discounts on exhibit catalogues, and the opportunity to register early and get discounts for the art classes.
