For a different kind of museum experience, the Art Car Museum has cars that have been turned into works of art. Cars are covered in beads, colorful tiles, animal skulls, pool balls...a plethora of odd objects.
Examples of art cars in the galleries include a 1951 Nash covered in scaly, prehistoric-looking reptile skin, a 1987 VW Cabriolet with giant metal batwings, and a 1984 Camaro with a life-sized buffalo head for a hood ornament. Also on display are framed pictures of other art cars, as well as several televisions showing informative and entertaining videos on this unique art form.
The outside of the building is recognizable by the giant twists of chrome surrounding the small parking lot.
A clean restroom is available.
