Young visitors to the Art Institute of Chicago are often captivated by the museum before even entering the doors when they are greeted at the entrance by two large, endearing bronze lions! Inside the museum, which boasts one of the world's great art collections, La Grande Jatte by Seurat, American Gothic by Grant Wood, and many, many other well-known, well-loved pieces can be found displayed throughout the many galleries, hallways, and showcases.
The Patrick G. and Shirley W. Ryan Education Center, located on the first floor of the Modern Wing, is a state-of-the-art facility that hosts education programs for families, groups, teachers, and teens. Little ones can play with blocks and puzzles, explore the museum's collection through an interactive game, and more.
