I have been with AupariCare for 4 years. I find AupariCare aupairs to be top quality and would COMPLETELY disagree that they focus on quantity and not quality. But, lets look at quantity for a moment, aupaircare has a large pool of aupairs and who wouldn't want that? They are the only agency with an Infant Specialized Program and a Safety Program. I find it odd that folks are complaining about AupairCare NOT picking an aupair for you and having the family pick their own?? I wouldn't want anyone picking my aupair I want to make that decision, after all, this is the person who will be caring for my most precious possession. So yes "you as a family" as the review below states, does have to pay the fees, and "search through all the aupairs" and set up interviews on your own time.....help me understand what is wrong with this?? I think what my friend below forgot to mention is that, AupairCare has an AWARD WINNING system called Family Room that enables families the set up parameters to filter aupairs to find exactly what they want. Oh and with regards to rematch, while it has never happened to me, I do know the policy, and it asks the host family to allow the aupair to continue to stay with them (and work if they desire her to) while she rematches, however, if that doesn't seem like a good idea, the aupair can stay with a friend or with the Area Director in her home, oh and if the HF just flat out refuses to have the aupair stay in their home, they are asked to pay $25 per day to help subsidize housing her, and that is clearly written (not hidden) in the paperwork we got at orientation. There are two sides to every story, so I sure hope folks reading the below review giving aupairCare 2 stars will read my review giving them FIVE, I have had several aupairs in my home and they have all been fabulous and amazing with my children.

I agree with the OK rating. Basically this organization has the highest fees and they focus on quantity rather than quality. You as the family have to do everything...pay for the fees, search through all the profiles (it's kind of like a bad dating service), find the right one yourself, setup your own interviews, and extend the offer yourself...and make sure you do it before anyone else does b/c it is really competitive with families across the entire country. Then you get your au pair and the company really does nothing. They do the minimum they need to abide by the US Dept of State guidelines. So things are good if everything is working out b/c you don't really need the company to do anything for you. But the moment you have issues with your au pair they company is looking out for their best interest...keeping they au pair in your house so it doesn't cost them extra to re-match you OR making you pay an absurd amount of fees. Watch out for all the hidden fees!

We have had nine aupairs with Aupair Care and loved them all. The service from the agency has been awesome. I can't say enough good things about them.

AuPairCare's Area Directors are well trained, responsive, and care about families and children. The local Area Director has experience in education, youth work, and working with families. We've had a wonderful experience with our au pairs! I highly recommend this agency.

Really just OK! When you pick your au pair, you compete with other families. We lost our preferred pick to a couple who only needed someone for 20 hours per week. We both work full time and need the care. Our current au pair with the agency is nice, but we get NO local support - our questions almost always go unanswered, and we feel like we are on our own. We will be switching agencies when she goes home.
