Audience Extras (AE) is a "papering" system, meaning they look for good people to place in the audience when a theatrical production is in previews (to keep the reviewers from getting lonely). The good news is that you might be accepted into the program, and that means you'll be able to get at least one ticket, but usually two and (with a contribution to the John-Vincent Peter Copani Memorial Foundation for the Arts of $35 or more) - sometimes up to four. Once you're in the program, tickets are offered at $3.50 each. AE's second mission is to develop a love of theater in the good folks of Manhattan, and what better time to start than childhood?

To join, you must be discreet, enthusiastic and a theater buff. Not all shows are good for kids, but you'll be able to decide which ones might suit your needs and their fancy.
