Past presentations of the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University have included The Bolshoi Ballet, Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater, The Eifman Ballet, Ballet Hispanico, White Oak Dance Project, The Joffrey Ballet, and Riverdance.

The Family Series is an opportunity for families to include children ages five to 17 in the discovery of dance and performance from around the world. The Family Series designates one performance in select Auditorium Theatre productions and offers a complimentary child's ticket with the purchase of an adult ticket. There is no difference in the programming for the family series and the rest of the presentations. The intention behind this offer is to provide an affordable way to introduce Chicago's youth to the world of dance and music.

Each Family Series performance is followed by a discussion with a member of the performing company so that children have an opportunity to meet the artistic team. Note that the Auditorium Theatre does not edit the artistic work for the family performance; it is the responsibility of a child's primary caregiver to make decisions regarding the nature of performance content. Auditorium Theatre staff are available to discuss content prior to the purchase of tickets.
