The Austin Museum of Art's original home, AMOA-Laguna Gloria is a restored 1916 Italianate-style villa that was once the home of Texas legend Clara Driscoll. The lush 12-acre grounds overlook Lake Austin and serve as a spectacular backdrop for sculpture.
Laguna Gloria is also home to The Art School, which offers more than 400 classes annually.

getting there:
From Austin Bergstrom International Airport, take Hwy. 71 West to Riverside Drive. Turn right on Riverside Drive. Follow Riverside Drive west to Lamar Blvd. and turn right. Head north on Lamar Blvd. to 6th Street and turn left. Head west on 6th Street, staying in the right lane until 6th Street splits, the ramp to access Loop 1 (Mopac) North being to the right. Go to the right at the split and follow the entrance ramp onto Loop 1 (Mopac) North. Go north on Loop 1 (Mopac) to the 35th Street exit. Turn left at 35th Street, heading west. Follow 35th Street until it dead ends. The entrance to the Museum grounds is on the left side at 3809 W. 35th Street.
