A bunch of nice guys work here and are prepared to match your child with a bike, whether it's a short-term rental or a long-term sale. Selection of children's bikes are limited, but of high quality. Repairs are reasonably priced, and fast.

tips:

From here it's only natural you take a spin through Golden Gate Park,which has plentiful biking opportunities for new riders, especially on Sunday when cars are prohibited from the north side.

getting there:

Cross street is Frederick. Combine your visit with a trip to McDonald's next door and you can get free parking in its big lot. Otherwise, parking is tough. Buses 16AX, 16BX, and 33.
