Baby Loves Disco. Mama does, too. And dads even getting in on the act when the DJs start spinning at this monthly dance party. Think of the cool birthday party your friend had at that trendy nightclub. Now imagine that party is for preschoolers and you've got the idea.
Little people shake their booties, chase bubbles, wave scarves, rattle egg shakers, and generally glow with amazement at the cool vibe. In addition to getting down with their parents and friends, pint-sized partiers can take part in contests for best dance categories, divided by age.
Healthy snacks and juice boxes (and some sweet treats, too!) give depleted dancers their energy back. Adults can get grown-up beverages at a cash bar, or a soda instead. And for those needing to cool off, or "freshen up" in the diaper sense, the chill out room offers a kids' version VIP area. Plenty of books, puzzles, and toys are scattered about the section, with seating areas and tents or teepees available for relaxing or snacking. Specific diaper-changing stations - outside the bathrooms for a change - make it easy for toddlers to keep the party going.
For some, the entire party is the chill out room, where the music is still audible, but muted. And parents need not worry about the music volume - even in the center the dance floor, the music's decibel level remains safe for little ears at all times. Events also feature an array of samples, giveaways, and information for area families.
