I really like this place. This will be our third summer going here. The lifeguards are nice--there is always an adult along with the 'teen' lifeguards, which I like. It is very clean- don't worry if you see a displaced person laying around the park area--they aren't allowed anywhere near the swimming pool or locker rooms! Also, it is truely kid-friendly. In Las Vegas, it is very difficult to find family-friendly activities and places and this is really a good spot for that midwestern 'neighborhood' vibe that is so missing in Las Vegas. This location is nutty because it's sandwiched directly behind the strip at the beginning of the downtown area but it's tucked in an older neighborhood that used to be fantastic in it's prime. Now with the economy changing, there are more 'middle class' families moving to this area and it's very safe and suitable to ride your bikes, walk or stroll to it. There is even a bike lane on the boulevard going towards the park, which is very rare in Las Vegas. In short, I recommend this to any family for good, old fashioned family fun!
