The museum is currently closed. Did you know that the first Civil War bloodshed happened in the streets of Baltimore between the sixth Massachusetts Volunteer Militia Regiment and southern sympathizers? From this first bloody encounter to slaves escaping on its railroads to the North, the Baltimore Civil War Museum documents Baltimore's critical involvement in the war.
