Founded by a collective of nine ceramic artists in 1978, Baltimore Clayworks showcases renowned artists as well as offers educational programs for children and adults. Learn how to work the pottery wheel, create a self-portrait with a tile mosaic, fashion polymer jewelry from beads and clay, and make African masks and Japanese tea bowls. Afterschool courses and one week summer camp programs teach diverse and creative ways to work with clay and other materials. Baltimore Clayworks is a non-profit organization formed to provide hands-on arts programming to all, including the under-served urban population.
