Barbacoa is the place to go for
fast, fresh Mexican fare. It is locally owned and operated, and has been around since 1998. The menu is simple - burritos, burrito bowls, burrito salads, tacos, and chips and salsa. Patrons step up to the counter and choose from beef, chicken, pork, carnitas, steak, or vegetarian, and then specify what other additions they'd like (beans, salsa, sour cream, guacamole, rice, etc.) Portions are large, and prices are reasonable - from $2 to $7.
A
kids menu is available. Children ages ten and under can choose a cheese quesadilla or a chicken taco. The meal is served with apple juice and a cookie, all for around $4.
High chairs are available for youngsters, but don't expect to find changing tables in the restrooms.
Barbacoa restaurants are popping up in several places along the Wasatch Front. Check their
website for a location near you.
For patrons in a real hurry, orders can be placed ahead of time by phone or online.
