I think Barnes and Noble is great! I first started going there years ago to purchase books, then I found I liked to sit there and read, then they added a coffee shop and music section! Today I still enjoy going there and now I can take my daughter (2 yrs) there too! At my favorite local B&N they now have "Storytime" for children! What makes it so good is that it is in an area that children can play freely in. It's made casually seperate from the adult areas so parents feel free to let their kids play as they wish. Now that's nice! To top it off, on our first visit I was very happy to find out that my active toddler would not have to sit still during storytime because there were other areas for the children to play that were not disturbing to those actually listening. They had a stage, toys, tables, etc. for the children and it's made okay for them to play! It's all very well thought out. Great hangout any day of the week with a friend, with the kids, or by yourself!
