It's a simple case of mathematics: there is something for everyone at Barney's Beanery, because with that many menu items how could there not be? This menu could make a good case for Cliff Notes.

The original location on Santa Monica Boulevard - old route 66 - has plenty of Hollywood history, from its big-name clientele of the 1920s and 30s to its political incorrectness of the 1960s and 70s. Nowadays, its mostly a place for sports fans to watch the game in the bar and families and others to eat just about anything, including breakfast all day and about a million kinds of burger.

Kids are generally provided with crayons and a menu to color with them. Children's menu items are pretty reasonably priced, around $5-$6, covering basic staples like hamburgers, spaghetti, pancakes, and chicken strips. Getting the food quickly enough for impatient youngsters can sometimes be challenging, but there's plenty to walk around and look at during the wait.
