Be with Me Playseum453

Absolutely loved the Playseum! My 4 yo daughter was entertained non-stop for the 2 + hours we were there. This is a wonderful concept- an educational, interactive, creative play space superimposed upon a new & used bookstore. And to make it all even better, proceeds benefit the Playseum orphanage in India. A must-see for kids. And they have a brand new Playseum Upstairs area ( which is literally located upstairs) for children ages 8 and up. This is a brand new space that any preteen is sure to love. Staff are very friendly and helpful.

It was a waste of time. We could have done better by playing outside on a local playground. We came all way from Arlington to the Playseum, and I must tell you it was not worth it. First, this museum wannabe is located in the basement, which is very small. All rooms are tiny, and it really smells like in a pet shop in there (and I mean smell of pet food, pet excrements, etc.). Second, it was very crowded. I don't even know if it is safe to have so many people in there at the same time. Third, it was dirty. Everything, from toys to playrooms seemed not very clean to me. The restroom seemed like it hasn't been cleaned for a while, the sink was disgusting. Overall, I am not taking my kid there again, and I would not recommend it to anyone. Waste of time and money.

I actually insisted on adding this venue to this website - it's a MUST-VISIT for locals and tourists. Can't say enough great things about it. Where do I start? Here is my list why this place is the best: - People! Everyone who is working there is so nice, it's like they are all from another planet. All teachers are there because they love teaching! - Cooking classes! My son loves decorating cupcakes, and his friend prefers to learn how to make a pumpkin pie from scratch ($3 for each activity, just to cover ingredients) - A wide array of musical instruments - Petting zoo! We love strawberry (name of baby bunny) - Dress up costumes, pretend grocery store, room with balls, sand box with huge trucks and cars (!!), craft room (free drawing, but you can make very cool hand prints on tiles for just $3 - great Xmas gift for grandparents from the little ones :) - Did I mention a huge collection of cheap books? Couple of small issues: - If you can come without a stroller, you are better off... space is tight - bring change for parking meters
