As you might guess from the name, this bright, airy salon (winner of our 2009 Parents' Picks award for Best Haircut in Seattle) features a cool beach theme that's a breath of fresh sea air along this gray stretch of Phinney Avenue. Walls are painted lime sherbet green, kites hang from the ceiling, and beach-themed decorating surprises abound.
Smaller kids can sit on what has to be the coolest kiddie salon seats in the city, including a dolphin, a sea turtle, and a whale. A regular barber's chair is also available for bigger kids who've passed the stage of needing an entertaining place to sit.
Waiting kids can pass the time in the large playroom at the back of the salon, while wigglers and first-timers can chill out to their choice of DVD while they get their hair cut. The salon's owner is calm, speedy, good with kids, and good at taming kids' baby-fine hair.

Located on the west side of Phinney Ave NW at NW 65th St in North Seattle. Relatively easy metered and free street parking around the salon.
