Bean Head Toys is an independent shop with a vast array of educational, creative, and unusual toys. Brands stocked include Playmobil, Klutz, Lamaze, Thomas and Friends, Wild Planet, Thames & Cosmos, Jack Rabbit Creations, and Beladuc. The interior is especially inviting, with a low treehouse space in the store's center where weekly storytimes take place and children gather to try before they buy. We are especially impressed with the number and quality of arts-themed toys and activity kits, and the selection of hardcover children's books. Birthday parties are scheduled in two themed rooms - the jungle room or the garden room. Both are spacious, and can be combined for very large parties. Packages include invitations, a hostess, decorations, and tableware. Goody bags can be purchased for an additional fee. Parties start at $195 for 10 children, and themes include arts & crafts, Groovy Girls, Webkinz, Mad Scientist, and Thomas the Tank Engine. Birthday children can start Wish lists so that family and friends can purchase party gifts, have them giftwrapped (for free!) and held there until the big day.
