Jose is a fashionable and talented grandfather who has been cutting kids hair for decades. My heart melted when he matter-of-factly reached down and took my daughter's hand to help her up on a step. He's a one person operation, takes his time, and emphasizes kids feeling relaxed and comfortable. His shop is like a fun fairyland (without all of the marketing and stuff for sale that the chains push). My daughter (who hates to have her hair touched) was enchanted. Even better? Her haircut is absolutely adorable, I wish mine looked as good! We had a lovely time there. It was fun and cozy!

Nice and inviting Jose has a calming effect on the kids. Great place to take kids for the best haircut and for a great time! baloons, animals, toys, bears,movies!!

I took my 2 1/2 year old daughetr for her first harcut. She has very curly hair, and it takes me over 20 minutes to detangle. The owner, Jose, was very understanding of my worries. He spent over 20 minutes just making sure my daugher would feel relax before even touching her. She had her haircut without a single tear. And, she left with new plastic jewelry, a lollipop and a ballon. All this for 35 bucks, I think it is a great place for every toddler to have their haircuts.

We had a great experience here for our daughters first haircut. Jose spent the time to let her get comfortable with the salon and with the stylist before starting the cut. She loved exploring the salon with two cats, two birds, rocking horses and a lot of stuffed animals. By the time we started the cut she was more relaxed. To make it even easier on her, Jose was willing to cut her hair while we held her or with her sitting on any of the "chairs" the race car, little rocking horse, the adult chair, etc. We ended up with a great haircut and many little extras. More importantly we all left with good memories of the experience (and a balloon). Thirty five seemed high at first but it was definitely worth it considering the amount of time that Jose spent with us. You can also go someplace else for future cuts if you want to save a few bucks. We plan to keep going back. I would heartily recommend taking your little one here for their first haircut!

It is a small homey place. The kids sit on a vehicle as they get there haircut and get to watch a video. The owner is great at cutting hair!! I have taken my daughter to him before but I recently took my son for his first haircut and he cried the whole time moving his head as well. I thought for sure he was going to have an awful haircut but instead it turned out great! He received several compliments from people. He looks like a little man now. The owner also listens to what you want. He never takes off more hair than I request so my daughter's hair always remains long, the way she and I like it! He does have a cat and bird for children who are interested in looking at the pets. (also good to know if you are allergic)
