Bedford Reservation is home to Tinkers Creek Gorge Scenic Overlook. The 140-foot-deep shale-lined gorge is dubbed a Natural National Landmark and a National Scenic Overlook. Big deal? We think so. You decide: Go. Take your camera. Get out of your car, and look; really, we think it's worth the effort.
In addition to the overlook,
Bedford Reservation offers a variety of hiking and biking trails (the 60-mile long
All-Purpose trail runs through the park), and the ecological wetland, Stumpy Basin, is also worth a look for nature lovers.
Bridal Veil Falls is one of the reservation's most popular trails for hikers and photographers, and it's also quite steep. (Wear good shoes and don't plan on taking a stroller, or kids that need to be carried.)
The public
Shawnee Hills Golf Course (near the reservation's west entrance) is described by those who swing a club as "a sporting par three." The main phone line at the course is 440.232.7184 begin_of_the_skype_highlighting 440.232.7184 end_of_the_skype_highlighting.
Picnic shelters can be reserved by calling the Metroparks office at 216.635.3200.
