Inside a seemingly small storefront in a busy midtown strip mall is a Beehive, bustling with the energy of individual, independently-minded artisans and shoppers on to something cool. The co-op gives designers a permanent boutique space for selling their wares - which include jewelry, handmade shoes and clothing, candles, scented lotions and soaps, and stationery. For shoppers, it's refined, one-stop shopping that's essentially the anti-mall experience. Throughout the store you can find kids boutiques full of neat handmade dolls, clothing, blankies, and accessories. The rear of the store is dedicated to Beehive WORKS! - a variety of classes for adults and children including sewing, candle making, quilting, and jewelry making. It also has an art table and toys for kids to play with while parents shop.
