Belmont Toys is a "must see" if you're in the area. Only 7 miles outside of Boston, it's worth a trip if you're looking for quality toys.
You'll find puzzles, games, developmental toys, and beginner musical instruments in the front of the store. As you make your way towards the back, you'll pass a nice selection of "Hello Kitty" items and some wonderful dress up clothes for boys and girls.
You'll find lots of opportunities for hands-on play here; a great Brio train table with an impressive array of the latest Brio accessories just begs for action. The store also has a Rokenbok remote control set-up for kids to test their maneuvering skills.
Belmont Toys almost certainly has most of what you want, but if you don't see it, chances are the store can order it. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Of course, it helps that the owners of the store also work there, and are around to make sure that everyone is happy.

getting there:
Take Concord Avenue until you come to an intersection at a train trestle. Take a right onto Leonard Street and into Belmont Center. Belmont Toys is on your right, 3/4 of the way down. You can park for one hour on the street, or park in the back in the free parking lot.
