My daughter has attended Big Apple Rhythmic Gymnastics since she was 6 years old (she is now 11). What makes this program unique is the fact that it provides opportunities for girls to participate for recreational purposes as well as for girls who are interested in pursuing Rhythmic Gymnastics as a competitive sport. Aside from having the most successful competitive team in the state and being able to produce the top young talent in the country, tuition is half of what you will pay at other gyms, for both forms of gymnastics. Everyone gets an opportunity to show off what they've learned at shows and exhibitions with 4 year olds on the same bill as international competitors and Olympic hopefuls. Rhythmic Gymnastics is a sport that is a feminine discipline, so there are no boys (aside from toddlers) registered in the program. The coaches are top knotch and always professional, I would highly recommend this program to any girl who is interested in Ballet, Gymnastics or both. Ballet training is an intergral part of the class. The ballet training of an elite rhythmic gymnast rivals that of any prima ballerina.
