About Birmingham Botanical Gardens

The Birmingham Botanical Gardens cover 67 acres and include a rose garden, a fern glade, an herb terrace, an All-America selections display garden, and other special sections.

Family-friendly annual events include Family Fun Day and Earth Day in the Gardens.

A teen volunteering program for kids ages 13 and up is offered in the summer months, and other opportunities to help are available year-round. Call 205.414.3962 for information.

Getting There

Take University Blvd (8th Avenue S) to Hwy. 280/31 and travel East/South. Continue on 280/31 until exiting at the 280 E exit to Sylacauga. At the 1st traffic light make a left and take an immediate right at the fork in the road onto Lane Park Road. Travel 1/4 mile and you will see the entrance to The Gardens on your left.
