about Birmingham Civil Rights Institute:
The Birmingham Civil Rights Institute (BCRI) documents the struggle of African-American citizens in Birmingham to become full participants in the city's government and business community. The institute's permanent exhibitions are a self-directed journey through the Civil Rights Movement and human rights struggles of today.
Several programs appropriate for families and children are scheduled throughout the year.
