About Birmingham Zoo
Approximately 750 animals (250 species) call the Birmingham Zoo home, including sea lions, cheetahs, elephants, birds, and reptiles.
Train and carousel tokens are sold at the front gate or ride locations. Check the day's schedule for operating hours.
Birthday party packages include A Super Duper Zooper Outdoor Party or a Zoo Safari Party in the Children's Zoo. Note that balloons, lids, and straws are not allowed on the zoo grounds, for the sake of the animals' safety. Call 205.879.0409, ex 274, to book a date.
Summer camp programs are available for children ages four to 13.

Tips
Zoo admission is half-price on Tuesdays. A private room for nursing mothers is available at the Primate building.
