This neighborhood park, located next to the
Bitter Lake Community Center, is shady during the summer and often less crowded than other parks in the heart of Seattle. Don't drive across town to visit, but it's worth checking out if you live in the general area.
It features a large climbing structure for older children and a small structure for tots (both with up-to-date safety features); areas for sand play; picnic tables; and a
wading pool that is often not as crowded as others in the city.
Look for playing fields, tennis courts (call the Parks Department for reservations), and
waterfront access and grassy fields next to small Bitter Lake.
