Better known among locals as the Touhill, the Blanche M. Touhill Performing Arts Center is situated on the University of Missouri-St. Louis campus. It is not only well known for its performances but also for its actual structure, designed by famous architect I.M. Pei and his firm.
The Touhill functions as an entertainment venue - Dance St. Louis performs here - as well as a "learning laboratory." Performances and practice sessions take place in both Touhill theaters and the practice facility; the center is also home to a number of master classes and the beloved summertime Jim Widner Big Band Jazz Camp.
