St. Charles Parks and Recreation Department was started with the 1914 acquisition of Blanchette Park.
The park features paved hiking and bike trails, horseshoe and shuffleboard courts, tennis courts, a sledding hill, a large playground, picnic areas, and a baseball/softball field.
The Aquatic Center features two waterslides, an otter slide, a children's water playground, "lily pad walk," diving area, and lap swimming.

getting there:
Located off U.S. Highway 370. Take the North 3rd Avenue exit and travel southwest on 3rd Avenue, which soon becomes 2nd Avenue. Continue along 2nd Avenue until West Randolph Street. Make a right and travel for less than a mile to the park.
