Maybe it's not like any other store in the world (or maybe it is like a few department stores that come to mind), but Bloomingdale's is certainly an institution unto itself, and for window shopping it's a lot of fun. Kids like the weird knick knacks and trinkets that appear around the holidays, and the toys are expensive but interesting. Kids' clothing can be pricey, but you'll occasionally find some bargains.

This Bloomingdales has NO children's department!
getting there:
Take the La Cienega Blvd. exit off the 10 Freeway and head north. The store is in the Beverly Center Shopping Mall on the corner of Beverly and La Cienega.
