Located on the banks of the Delaware River, the
Blue Cross RiverRink opens toward the end of November and stays open through February. Evening skaters get a gorgeous (if chilly) view of the night sky and the city skyline.
Frequent warm-ups in the heated tent are recommended; you'll find music, activities for children, and pizza, popcorn, and pretzels.
The
RiverRink welcomes
birthday parties. Party packages include admission, skate rental, use of a party room, and a complimentary ticket to return for another visit.
Skating lessons for all ages take place on Sundays from 10:30am to noon. Children under age 6 are required to bring and wear a (bicycle or hockey) helmet. Dates for lessons and details are available
online.
Special sled skating sessions for people with disabilities are available on Sundays from 9:30am-10:30am; reservations are required by phone..
