Blue Man Group incorporates almost everything you've tried to convince your children not to do - spitting/regurgitating food and paint, unspooling miles of toilet paper, climbing over furniture, throwing paint - and, as a result, this is one show kids positively adore. Kids over the age of seven, that is.

The ambiance at the The Charles Playhouse is very intimate, so the odds are good that no matter where you're seated you will eventually come eyeball to eyeball with one of the three blue, hypnotic-contact-wearing, men. One might toss you a marshmallow, or use your head for balance, or pull you up onstage.

Reading skills are a plus for this show; red LED oblongs feature prominently, and there's a section wherein the audience is directed to read one (and only one) of three 12-part posters. The spoken word is rarely heard.

The new, cool, recently updated Blue Man Group takes a closer look at the technology that both surrounds and isolates us. Signature Blue Man Group moments combine with breathtakingly fun new pieces for an explosive evening of entertainment.

The show runs roughly an hour and a half, with no intermission. Drinks are allowed in the theater, but only what you buy from the concession stand.
