The Boise Philharmonic is a 70-member professional orchestra. In addition to the more "stuffy" orchestral performances, the Boise Philharmonic offers several performances and musical opportunities, such as the Boise Philharmonic Youth Orchestra (formerly called the Treasure Valley Youth Symphony), music classes, and children's concerts each year that are specifically geared toward children and families. The orchestra also offers a Casual Classics program - late morning, casual concerts featuring excerpts and/or select movements from its evening concert's repertoire.

Philharmonic performances are typically held at the Esther Simplot Performing Arts Academy, the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts, and other locations in and around the Treasure Valley.
