Management is very disappointing. Birthday party help is non-existent. Prices increase without notification. Food quality is poor. Food pricing is horrible. Will not ever return, and strongly recommend anyone else reconsider before booking any event here.

I would like to discourage all parents from ever attending the Bonaventure Family Skating Center in Farmington Hills. I called earlier in the week and asked to set up a birthday party for one of my daughters. I was told to come in "anytime" as long as there was staff in the building to reserve a spot and to give a deposit. I went there this afternoon and there was a older gentleman & two ladies eating at the concession stand. I kindly told them that I was there to reserve for a party and was rudely told by the manager to come back at 8 pm because they were closed. I preceded to tell them that I called earlier and told them what I was told about coming in. I also couldn't come back at 8 pm because I had children to put to bed and if they could make an exception. I then asked if they were the owners and was told that the only person that could set up the party was the manager who was the older lady eating at the concession stand. The manager said that she wasn't going to do it because she was eating and rudely pushed her food away and got up. She obviously made it clear that I was an inconvenience. At this moment, I was appalled by her actions and customer service that we left the building. The whole transaction would have taken literally 5 minutes and that all she needed was my deposit. I did tell her that I would make sure that I would tell everyone of our experience and that they didn't deserve my hard earned money. I have been a small business owner and believe that customer service can make a big difference. No one, especially our children, should have to endure the rude behavior at this establishment.

We attended the preschool skate party during the holiday break. It's 90 minutes devoted to just the little ones (no collisions with older, larger children). It starts with a period of open skating, then a light snack (provided!), then a mini-lesson. The staff was friendly and attentive. Everyone there got plenty of individualized attention. Our group of 11 kids all thoroughly enjoyed it! We'll go again when preschool goes on summer break!
