The focus at Boomerang, the winner of our 2008 Parents' Picks quest to find the Best Toy Store for Little Kids and Big Kids in New York City, is on toys for the smaller set - mainly toddlers and preschoolers. You'll also find the finer brands (Brio, PlayMobil), one-of-a-kind items, and baby baubles and equipment (like Maclaren strollers...).
For older children, the store carries a wide variety of board games, creative kits, building systems, and science kits.
Gift wrapping is free, and the store has a very useful birthday present registry.

- The Tribeca store has moved into a new location 2 blocks south of Worth St. and it is FABULOUS! That same personal service is even better now. What a comfortable and inviting place to shop. It is right across from Bouley so we enjoy a great lunch, which is not expensive, and enjoy the Tribeca experience. Thanks Boomerang Toys for being the best toy store in New York City!
[Submitted by Anonymous6/06/09 - Great shop(s). We live in lower Manhattan and frequent both shops. Besides the great selection of toys and wonderful personal service, relatives out of town and even overseas, shop online and we can pick up our gifts at the store or they can choose delivery.
[Submitted by Raye7/23/08 - I live on the Upper East Side but every once in a while make a trip down to Tribeca to shop at Boomerang Toys. They have a great selection and it is big enough for me to push my twins in their stroller. Every time I go I find something totally new.
