When rain threatens, or you're just plain tired of the beach, head to Boomers! and set the kids loose. Attractions at the play center include miniature golf, batting cages, lazer tag, bumper boats, country fair rides, a game arcade, and go-karts.

The facilities are reasonably well maintained, especially considering the daily beatings the place gets from kids, but don't try a white glove test. We always feel a bit grimy after our visits, and the smell of fast food hanging heavy in the game arcade doesn't help.

As with almost any play center, the noise, commotion, and and artificial lighting in the arcade can seem stifling over time. Keep your visit short and most kids will leave feeling like they've just been to a mini-amusement park.

Boomers! does best is throw birthday parties. Multiple packages are available, and there are plenty of add-ons to help families create the perfect party experience.
