Boston Mills/Brandywine is as it sounds, two snow resorts combined into one - don't be confused by the two parking lots, less than five minutes apart by car, but do note that the complex has a second address, 7100 Riverview Road, in Peninsula [zip 44264].
The combined resort does have something of a split personality, in that
Boston Mills' hills keep getting more challenging and Brandywine is ideal for beginners,
with kid-friendly slopes. Adjacent to Brandywine is
Polar Blast Tubing Park, with dedicated tubing runs longer than three football fields.
Lessons are available most days for beginners and intermediate/advanced several times throughout the day.
Kids' learn-to-ski packages are available for wannabe skiers as young as three years old - packages including six weekly lessons plus equipment rental run about $200-$400.
Best bet for those new to snow sports:
start with a Beginner's Intro Package including an all day (beginner area only) snow/lift ticket, equipment rental, and instruction during one of the General Beginner Lesson times (for ages 5 and over). Reservations are not necessary.
Amenities include snack bars and sit-down
restaurants at both Brandywine and Boston Mills, locker rentals, group package discounts, equipment shops run by Buckeye Sports Center, and maintenance/repair services offered at Boston Mills.
