The city of Dushanbe, Tajikistan presented Boulder with the Teahouse to celebrate the establishment of sister city ties between the two cities. From 1987 -1990, more than 40 artisans in several cities of Tajikistan created the decorative elements of the Teahouse, including the hand-carved and hand-painted ceiling, tables, stools, columns, and exterior ceramic panels.
Tea is served daily. Reservations are required 24 hours in advance. The Teahouse also has a complete breakfast, lunch, and dinner menu, as well as appetizers.
