About Boulder Theater

Built in the early 1900s, the Boulder Theater has hosted events ranging from live opera to the first "talkie", The Jazz Singer, in 1927 to live music performances by such popular performers as Bonnie Raitt, the Plasmatics, Jeff Lorber, and Timothy Leary.

In 1988, the theater was transformed into a multi-use hall with cabaret-style seating. Care was given to preserve the Art Deco ornamentation, including the hand-painted murals and fresco ceiling.

In its new incarnation, the theater is home to The Peanut Butter Players Kids' Entertainment Troupe, E-Town, and many other special events and performances. The facility is also available for rental.
