Boyce Park is a public park offering snowboarding (two quarter pipes, three table top jumps, and one of the longest half pipes in Pennsylvania), downhill skiing, snowtubing, a wave pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, five ball fields, three soccer fields, a four seasons activity center, an archery range, a model airplane field. An all-inclusive playground, located near O'Block Playground (off of Monroeville Trestle Road), is specially designed to meet the needs of children with disabilities and includes wheelchair-accessible ramps and platforms.
The wave pool at Boyce Park is open seasonally June through Labor Day. Daily admission rates are available ($4 for adults, $1-$3 for children) and seasonal pool passes are available through the park's administration office. In July, the pool also offers a free, four-week Learn-to-Swim program for kids ages five and up; advance registration is not required. Details are available by calling 724.327.0338.
The Boyce Park Ski Area offers winter sports enthusiasts a snow tubing area, chair lifts, rental equipment for skiers and snowboarders, and private and group lessons. For more information, call Boyce Park at 724.733.4665.
Boyce Park is also home to the Allegheny County Gardens, the Carpenter Log House, and the Boyce Park Nature Center.
