I have been volunteering at BVF for a while now. iT IS A WONDERFUL PLACE.

I've only worked at Bright Valley Farms for awhile, but if your looking to have fun and ride some awesome horses, look no further than here! BVF is a relaxing, wonderful vacation spot for the whole family. Yes, a few of our staff is young(me for instance)but I think I speak for the whole of us when I say we love our job and we know what we are doing! I guide now, and I can't think of anything else I would want to do, but this, til the day I die. And if you visit us, you'll see that same passion in all of our eyes. We love our job. And we would love it if you came and enjoyed it with us. Yes, there is procautions and risks. But if you love it as much as we do, you'll get on that horse(trust me, they are no bucking broncos!) and you'll let us teach you what we know. So come on down to BVF! See you on the trails!

I gotta laugh at the people saying the ranch is dirty, come on people it's a working horse RANCH! There is dirt and there is dust. Get a grip. I've been riding at Bright Valley Farms for over 20 years, since the ranch was on the corner of 94 and Campo Rd. Some of the people out there over the years have been unprofessional or very young but I don't that dictate my over all impression of the place. Over all it's been excellent.

About a year ago my daughter started taking lessons here at Bright Valley Farms. I didn't know much about horses at the time and neither did she. She took lessons for about three months, and it was quite expensive for what you get, so I decided to look for another stable that was cheaper and maybe closer to home, as we were driving about a half an hour to get to Bright Valley Farms. Of course my daughter had fallen in love with her horse there, and never wanted to leave.

The staff is very friendly and try hard to keep this place clean. The animals are well taken care of and if they are skinny they are fed extra feed. This is the one and only stable I ever go to.

Bright Valley Farms is a great place for anyone to come relax and get a breath of fresh air! they have beautiful scenic trail rides, and in the spring it is just so gorgeous with all the pretty flowers! they have horses for any type of rider, first time, or well experienced.. you get your very won horse to ride for however long you want! the horses are well taken care of, and some even spoiled! they have excellent guides, and mine was a very nice young woman who told me all the historic facts and kept me listening the whole time! either a slow walk, or a nice trot, the guide seemed to let us go at the pace we needed for our first time children. I had an excellent time, and i'm sure youw ould to!

Nice staff, well cared for animals. We have done pony rides and lessons. We wouldn't patronize Bright Valley Farms if we saw emaciated or abused horses. Go see for yourself!

went on a trail ride recently. told them we were experienced riders(and we are very much so) however, they put me on a young mare most likely in season and definitely not something fun to ride on a trail. also the trails we were on at one point made the horses walk down a very steep rocky slippery path- if one of those horses slipped, experienced or not you and/or the horse could be seriously injured. helmets are optional if you are over the age of 18, but i think that should be strictly enforced. the facility is not very clean, neither are the horses, and a lot of the horses look emaciated. the only good thing i have to say is that the guide that took us out was very nice, except she couldve left out the stories of her friends getting drunk and riding the horses through the fields.

I have been riding at BFV for over 3 yrs. I started with western lessons to improve my riding skills and have continued riding ever since. Remember its a ranch and you will get dirty...the rental horses are well trained and well fed. There's a horse for every riding skill level. The trail rides are guided, usually by one of the youth volunteers, most of them own there own horses and take out rides for tips. There a few of us older volunteers too. The ranch does offer "pony rides" for those riders under 7yrs. old. They ride older, gentle horses, led around the arena by a parent. All trail rides are walk/trot only, which usually is fast enough for most renters. Riders saftey is our first concern. The scenery is beautiful, esp. in the spring when the wild flowers are in bloom. I know you'll enjoy the fresh air,sunshine and the horses.

Bright Valley Farms is a wonderful facility even though you are riding with a young guide they know what they are talking about. For trail you must be at least 7 years old and the cost is $35/per hour.They DO give pony rides but they are on a supurb horses. When you do pony rides you must keep the "pony" at a walk for your safty and cost $15/per half hour.the horses are well taken care of and if you know anything about horses you know that sometimes you have to be tough with them. So go out and enjoy!!! p.s. They have beautiful trails.

I was not very impressed. It was very dirty and the horses were not very clean either. The horses look afraid, and how the people in the corrals treat them is not good at all. The volunteers are very noisy and rude, and most are under 15. They send you out on a ride with a 14 year old leading you! Though, once you get out on trail, it is very nice. As for lessons, they are a waste of money. You pay $40 for a kid to ride in circles for 45 minutes. My child has not learned anything in western lessons. She even said she didn't have fun. The instructor is definately not certified and someimes doesnt even show up. I would NOT go back.

The ad says ponies, the web site says ponies, phone call confirmed...ponies, but no ponies at Bright Valley Farms. Not for small children or inexperienced riders.

I work at Bright Valley Farms and have taken lessons there for a long time. My riding has improved so much since I have been there. I give Trail Rides and was trained to do so, so you are with a well trained guide when you go on trail. It is a wonderful place and you will have a fun time if you go there!

Bright Valley Farms is a terrific stable. The horses are all beautiful and are cared for by wonderful volunteers. I rode a horse named Paladin and in one hour, I fell in love with him! This place is great, I recommend to everyone.

I GOT BUCKED OFF THE HORSE ON THE TRAIL RIDE AND AM VERY DISAPPOINTED"WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN"

I LOVE BRIGHT VALLEY. I work there and I love it. Everyone is friendly and some of my best friends are horses there. The horses are well trained and the ponies never act up. Trail rides are great for kids over around 6 years old. This place is like my new home! It is the best ever! Come on over and we will set you up on a trail ride, pony ride, or lessons.

My kids are 5 and 8. They had a pretty good time. My son was nervous but relaxed once he got on. You walk the kids around the arena it, so you walk/work as hard as the horses. Like walking a very tall dog, that runs way faster than you. IT was fun. Cash only and the walker get filthy. Hey, thats part of the experience.
