Broadway Palm has offered the Valley quality Broadway-style entertainment and fine dining since 2001.
The theater accommodates 500 guests and features an extensive dinner buffet with a terrific dessert table. Seventy-five elevated theater-style seats are available in the rear of the facility for "show only" guests.
A recent visit to see a production of Disney's Beauty and the Beast confirmed the great value Broadway Palm provides for local families. The staff was friendly and engaging, taking care to interact with the children in attendance and put them - and their parents - at ease. The buffet area was easy to navigate, and the food selections - while admittedly not gourmet - were tasty and plentiful. The desserts were quite good, though we wish the excellent ice cream wasn't scooped up ahead of time and allowed to melt before most guests are ready to indulge. Considering the affordable ticket price for kids ages 15 and younger, we thought the meal was most agreeable.
Which brings us to Broadway Palm's main entree - the show. Having seen the actual Broadway production of BatB, we steeled ourselves for a far-inferior facsimile. To our delight, the show was charming, entertaining, and well staged. The cast was excellent, and the sets - though decidedly pared-down from their Great White Way counterparts - maintained the lavish feel one expects in a Disney fairytale. The sound system failed to deliver some of the Beast's quieter dialogue, but that didn't keep the audience from offering an enthusiastic standing ovation at the curtain call, or from whistling show tunes on the way to the parking lot.
In addition to the mainstage productions, three different children's theatre presentations are offered each year and include a unique luncheon buffet with kid-friendly options like hamburgers, mac & cheese, pizza, and more.
The facility also offers a nice gift shop, filled with gift items, show memorabilia, and toys (including the uber-popular Webkinz plush toys, when available).
