about Bronx Library Center:

The Bronx Library Center, a 78,000-square foot center for learning and knowledge, is the largest public library in the Bronx.

Highlights at this branch of the New York Public Library include Latino and Puerto Rican Cultural Center; 127 internet-accessible computers for public use; an outdoor reading terrace; special areas for children and teens; and a 150-seat state-of-the-art auditorium.

tips:

Every child should have his or her own Library Card. The powerful feeling of recognition as a being in his or her own right goes a long way toward developing a love of libraries and reading. Children from birth to age 11 can have their own cards; applications must be signed and completed by a parent or guardian. Teenagers in 7th grade and up (or 12 and older) must present identification that indicates their grade level or age: a program card, report card, birth certificate, or letter from a teacher on school stationary. Visit www.nypl.org for more information.
